Please note that text, email, and phone calls default to opting out. If you would like to receive appointment reminders or communication from your clinician via any of these methods of communication, you will need to opt in first. Opting in to any of these communication methods is not mandatory to receive services.
By opting in to receive SMS messages from Green Country EMDR Therapy PLLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (Terms).
SMS Messaging Service
By providing my phone number, I consent to receive SMS text messages from us for appointment reminders and general two-way communication about your relationship with us. Message and Data Rates may apply.
Secure Messaging Options
Spruce Health provides secure app to app messaging (you will be invited to join the clinic’s Spruce account), video calls, Spruce visits, phone calls, voicemail and transcription, and eFax.
Simple Practice (Electronic Health Record) offers secure messaging through the client portal.

Message Frequency
You will get more than one message (appointment reminders) from us unless you opt-out, and while messaging frequency varies, you will likely receive messages pertaining to your account with us as you request, or up to 8 messages per month. We reserve the right to alter the frequency of messages at any time to increase or decrease the total number of messages. Green Country EMDR Therapy PLLC and carriers are not liable for delays or undelivered messages.

Cancellation/Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. After you opt out of text messaging, you will receive one additional message confirming your request has been processed. You can also opt out of appointment reminders or other texts via the client portal.
You will sign a consent that allows you to exclude any form of communication that the practice utilizes. It is important to note that regular SMS and email are not secure. However, we offer multiple secure methods of communication through Spruce Health and Simple Practice. It is your right to utilize your preferred method of communication.

Liability
We are not responsible for any charges, errors, or delays in SMS delivery or undelivered messages caused by your carrier or third-party service providers.
HIPAA
We utilize Spruce Health for fax, phone calls, and SMS messaging. Per Spruce Health they:
Utilize underlying technologies that are compatible with the security and privacy requirements in place to protect and secure protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA.
Operate based on policies and procedures that let us meet and exceed the obligations of a business associate under HIPAA, including all necessary administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
Allow providers on Spruce to use each of the platforms supported communication channels in a HIPAA-compliant way, as part of a HIPAA-complaint practice.
